Fairfield's boys golf team completed its 2025 season with two athletes making the All-GMC 2nd team, sophomore Noah Caton and freshman Will Eichold.

The two golfers finished in a tie for 21st place in the Greater Miami Conference Tournament. The team finished 5th overall in the 2-day tourney, just two strokes back from Sycamore.

Senior Jacob Hopper was named winner of the team's Steve Shuck Sportsmanship Award.

Overall, the team was 5-4 in dual and tri-matches, while also competing in seven invitationals, plus the GMC tournament and OHSSA sectionals.

The Indians, coached by Chris Rossi, were led by Caton with a 43.6 stroke average, freshman Wyatt Burdine (43.8), and sophomore Grady Schultheiss (43.9). They were followed by junior Carson Pennington (44.5), Eichold (44.8), senior Braden Piatt (45.4), senior Max Marquette (51.5) and Hopper (54.6).

Before the end of the season, the Indians celebrated the three graduating players – seniors Piatt, Marquette and Hopper – with a Senior Night friendly match against Talawanda at Miami-Whitewater golf course. The players were accompanied by their fathers, who caddied for them.
