Fairfield 5th at GMC Tourney

Caton, Eichhold named to All-GMC squad

Fairfield's boys golf squad finished 5th out of ten squads in Tuesday and Wednesday's Greater Miami Conference Tournament, held at Walden Ponds Golf Course. The Indians were just two shots behind 4th place Sycamore with an overall score of 694. Lakota West finished 1st with 588 strokes.

Selected to the second team All-GMC squad (based upon their finish) were sophomore Noah Caton and freshman Will Eichhold, who finished in a tie for 21st place. The six-man squad also included senior Braden Piatt (31st), junior Carson Pennington (34th), sophomore Grady Schultheiss (25th), and freshman Wyatt Burdine (27th).

The Indians, coached by Chris Rossi, next play Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Harry Alexander Invitational at Miami Whitewater Forest.

They return to play Princeton at Fairfield Greens South Trace on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
