Fairfield's boys basketball team fell to St. Xavier, 55-43, in a physical District Finals battle at Xavier University's Cintas Center Saturday evening.

The Indians, coach by DJ Wyrick, finish the season 10-14 overall, and 6-10 (7th place) in the Greater Miami Conference.

Junior Peyton Jones led the Indians Saturday with 13 points, followed by junior Jordan Freeman with 9. Sophomore Bilal Kalenda had the most rebounds with 8, while Freeman had 6. Kalenda also had 2 blocked shots. The Indians shot only 30% during the game in field goals, and 21.1% in three-pointers.

For the season, senior Cam Arington was named to the 2nd-team All-GMC squad, while senior Riley Cunningham was given the Steve Shuck Sportsmanship Award.

Sophomore Kaiden Jones was 4th in the GMC in rebounds, averaging 6.2 per game, while also leading the league in blocked shots with an average of 1.5 per game.

Arington was 16th in the GMC in scoring with 11.8 points per game. He led the team in scoring with 272 points, followed by Peyton Jones with 196, Jayke Akbar with 169 and Richardson with 153.

Cunningham led the team in overall rebounds with 82, followed by Akbar with 81, Kalenda with 70, Kaiden Jones with 68, and Peyton Jones with 66.
