Fairfield Pride • One Tribe
Sideline Access is a Working Privilege — Not a Spectator Benefit.
Fairfield Athletics welcomes legitimate media coverage and supports opportunities for professional media, school-affiliated media, student media, and approved Team Photographers. For the safety of our student-athletes, coaches, officials, and event personnel, sideline and other restricted-area access is limited to individuals approved and credentialed by Fairfield Athletics.
Sideline pass requests must be submitted the week of the event. Same-day requests will be automatically declined.
A Camera Does Not Equal a Credential
Possession of a camera, photography business, social-media account, school ID, previous access, or a personal relationship with a student-athlete does not authorize sideline access.
Professional Media
Recognized news organizations, television, radio, newspapers, publications, and established media outlets.
School & Student Media
Approved Fairfield High School Yearbook students along with visiting school media coverage groups approved by their Athletic Department.
Team Photographers
Individuals officially approved by Fairfield Athletics or the Head Coach of the Program being covered.
All credentials must be tied to verified working coverage roles.
Who Generally Does Not Qualify
- Personal or family photographers
- Photographers hired by an individual athlete or family
- Commercial photographers primarily selling directly to athletes or families
- Personal photography, personal social-media, or portfolio photography
- Boosters, sponsors, or volunteers without an approved working role
Personal interest in an athlete or team does not constitute a working media assignment.
Gameday Expectations
- Check in at the ticketing gate and receive a wristband from our gate staff.
- Wear your issued wristband at ALL times.
- Remain in designated working areas.
- Follow all instruction from Fairfield Athletics Staff, security, and officials.
- Maintain proper control of equipment so that there are no hazards or safety concerns.
NO WRISTBAND / APPROVED CREDENTIAL = NO RESTRICTED-AREA ACCESS.
Participating School Authority
Each participating school’s administration retains authority over access to its own team, bench, and sideline areas.
Fairfield Athletics will honor reasonable requests from participating-school administration to restrict photographer, videographer, or media access to its team area.
A Fairfield-issued credential does not supersede a participating school’s authority over its team area.
Respect visiting and host program sideline perimeters at all times.
Sideline Rules & Enforcement

Sideline Rules
- Follow along the sideline boundary line.
- Do not exceed beyond 10 yards onto or across the playing surface at any time.
- Remain alert to live play and immediately yield to players, coaches, officials, student-trainers, chain crews, and emergency personnel.
- Equipment must remain safely positioned to ensure it does not pose conditions or hazards.
- Use sideline/boundary marks when zoom lenses or folding chairs are necessary for safety; monitor, correct, and fold/stand chairs or compact gear as needed.
Conduct & Enforcement
Credentials and restricted-area access may be immediately suspended or revoked for:
Unsafe conduct Failure to comply Interfering with event Detrimental conduct Misrepresentation Poor sportsmanship Failure to follow orders
Violations may result in immediate removal from the restricted area and/or permanent denial of future access.
Final Authority
Fairfield Athletics reserves the right to approve, deny, limit, revoke or remove media credentials and/or sideline-bench access based on safety, space, operational needs and at its sole discretion for the event. Previous approval does not guarantee future access. Fairfield Athletics reserves the authority to amend these guidelines for further protection and in a way associated with photographic, videographic, media access or event operations.
