FHS Clubs Provide Feast on Boys Soccer Senior Night

Food and Futbol!

In conjunction with the National Honor Society's 2025 Fairfield Together United Project, the Asian American Association (AAA), the Latin American Student Alliance (LASA), and the African Student Union (ASU) all came out to support the boys soccer Senior Night on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

In honor of the team, which has many members from around the world, the clubs raised money, bought food, cooked their best cuisine, and shared it with the crowd during the 4-1 victory over Oak Hills. The offerings included tamales, fried rice, spicy noodles, dumplings, and chicken, in addition to some international soft drinks.

The event was such a success that Coach Manny Adjei asked the clubs to return at 7 p.m., Oct. 21, for the boys' home playoff match against West Clermont in the district semifinals.

"For a first time, we have been able to show off the diversity of both our school and the members of our team," said Adjei. "We really look forward to continuing this event and ones like them; we want to make it a tradition … not only this year, but in future seasons."

The club leaders are feverishly putting their time in together to make this event happen again. These three clubs, along with the leadership of the National Honor Society, are committed to shining a light on the greatness, inclusivity, and diversity of Fairfield.
