Fairfield Wrestlers Celebrate Senior Night, Head to Sectionals

The Fairfield boys wrestling squad – fresh out of a successful GMC tourney where they finished fifth with three champions – grapple Saturday morning in the sectional tournament at Lebanon High School.

Before that happens, though, let's look back at the recent Senior Night, held Jan. 23 in the Freshman School gym. The boys defeated Oak Hills, 47-28.

Five boys graduating from the squad this year were honored before the match.

They are:
  • Re'Nell Conner III, 138 pounds
  • Jose Gonzalez, 215 pounds, GMC champ
  • Jake King, 144 pounds
  • Cole Miller, 150 pounds
  • Drew Parker, 150 pounds

Held after Senior Night was the annual match competed on the stage in the Performing Arts Center. This year's bout was Jan. 30 against Edgewood, which the Indians won, 57-21.
