Indians Sweep Badin in Tennis Opener

Fairfield's girls tennis squad opened its season Wednesday by shutting down Badin completely, 5-0. The home opener was also Elizabeth Welsh's debut as the new varsity coach.

The victors were:

1st singles: Kika Freeman (freshman)
2nd singles: Allison Kane (senior)
3rd singles: Mia Reist (junior)
1st doubles: Rachel Grooms (senior), Madi Przytulski (junior)
2nd doubles: Leah Peters (junior), Jillian Marquette (sophomore)

The Indians GMC opener is today, Aug. 21, at Lakota West. The Indians next home match is Wednesday, Aug. 27, against Talawanda.
